Twitter Copied by Meta to kill Twitter- Threads

A new app named Threads has been launched by Meta. Thread is the rival of Twitter, which was bought by Elon Musk in October, 2022. This new app is being considered to be “The Killer of Twitter”. But will it really kill Twitter? Is this a full copy of Twitter? Let’s read and try to find it out:-

About Threads

Today, June 6th,2023; Meta (The Parent Company of Instagram/Facebook) launched a rival of Twitter, Threads! The CEO of Meta, Mark Zuckerberg said that this app is a “friendly rival” of Twitter, which is already struggling!

This app allows individuals to share posts of up to 500 characters, fostering a new experience for text-based interactions. This app has already gone live in 100 countries, available in both Apple and Android app stores.

Shockingly, with in some hours, this app has crossed 10 Million+ users!

Mark Zuckerberg, posted on threads that “There should be a public conversations app with 1 billion-plus people on it, Twitter had the oppurtunity to do this but hasn’t nailed it.

Many of Instagram’s influential users have been asking the company to make a text-based app, according to Connor Hayes, a vice president of product.

Will it kill Twitter?

Mark Zuckerberg said that, today Threads is currently in its initial version. It will have some extra features but not now.

So, today we can’t say if Threads can kill Twitter. But yes Meta has found a great oppurtunity as Twitter the only competitor of Threads, has been struggling from a while.

Let’s see how this Meta’s new app will perform and also we might see it killing Twitter!
